National Minimum Wage Council continues to have the MW’s negotiation meeting

On September 18, 2023: the National Minimum Wage Council continues to have the negotiation meeting to determine the 2024 Minimum Wage for workers in the garment and textile sectors.
After the negotiation, there are three noticeable results;
– The employer party agreed to increase the wage by US$201.50
– For union sides and employee representatives, five of them asked for US$213 while another 12 people demanded US$204.
– However, the government side is in favor of US$202
Following the agreement of the three parties, the final meeting of the 2024 Minimum Wage will be conducted on September 28, 2023.
