CLC wants stronger labour laws and right to demonstrate

The Cambodian Labour Confederation (CLC) has appealed to the government to stop factory owners violating the labour laws and allow workers the right to strike and demonstrate.

Speaking at an event to mark International Labour Day on May 1, CLC President Ath Thorn said yesterday that before 2013 the situation of workers’ rights and union representation was good and the authorities did not restrict protests, strikes or demonstrations.
