International Human Rights Day (10 December 1948-2023)
On December 10, 2023; The NGOs, Associations, Confederation, and Employee trade unions, employees, venerable monks, and citizens celebrated the 75th anniversary of #InternationalHumanRightsDay; under the theme “Ensure Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for all Citizens.” at Freedom Park, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
The objective of the celebration:
1. To strengthen the public understanding of the International Human Rights Declaration, its enforcing instruments, and the Cambodia Constitution;
2. To increase the demand for justice and push for reform
3. To increase people’s understanding of how justice affects the freedom and dignity of the people; and for CSO
4. Widen our CSO space through more active activities: marches and public assemblies.
About 3000 participants attended this event, including Mr. Patrick Murphy, the USA ambassador in Cambodia, NGOs, associations, confederations, trade unions, employees, venerable monks, and citizens.
