Phnom Penh Capital Hall Allows CLC to March and Celebrate International Labor Day May 01, 2023

On the morning of April 21, 2023, the leaders of the Cambodian Labor Union (CLC), President Ath Thorn, and the Federation of Trade Unions and Associations representing the labor sector met with Phnom Penh Capital Hall to discuss the organization of the 137th anniversary of May 1. 2023.

After a tense three-hour meeting, Phnom Penh City Hall and the union decided to allow the day to be celebrated at the Development Park (CDC) and the parade east of Wat Phnom in Phnom Penh. The Cambodian Labor Union, together with representatives of federations, associations and civil society organizations, will deliver a message on the employment situation and submit a petition to the Royal Government to address the current challenges facing workers.
