On December 16, 2023; CLC Cambodia and Oxfam in Cambodia conducted a Training Workshop on; “Social Protection System for Local Union Leaders” at President Hotel in Battambang province.

Mr. Thorn Bunly, the EU-First project coordinator from Oxfam Cambodia, gave a welcome speech and introduced the EU-First project to the 60 participants from Confederations, Unions, and associations in many sectors such as garment and textile, agriculture, industry, tourism services, transportation, construction, and informal sector.

Bunly said that this training workshop is the last training of the EU-First project, the cooperation between CLC and Oxfam Cambodia, which mainly implemented Social Protection in Cambodia.

He also appreciated the good cooperation between CLC and Oxfam and, however, still keeps working on other projects on Social Protection.

Mr. Ath Thorn, CLC president, opened the remark and congratulated on the success of the 3-year cooperation on the EU-First project from 2021-2023.

Additionally, Thorn presented the Social Protection in Cambodia, including the National Social Security Fund and SP. He also displayed and opened the discussion about the request toward NSSF to get better improvement of the Social Protection System in Cambodia.

Be noted that this training workshop was co-organized by the CLC Cambodia and Oxfam Cambodia, with support from the EU, Laudes Foundation, and DGD.
