The Discussion Meeting between CLC leader and MoLVT Representative​​ Regarding the Labour conflict and lawsuit

On the afternoon of March 30, 2024; Mr. Ath Thorn, CLC president, and his colleague met and discussed with H.E. Som Chamnan, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, and his colleagues on the processing and ongoing lawsuit related to the dispute and accusation in labour sector toward the trade union leaders and employees at MoLVT.

There were some notable points had been taken into the discussion;
– Criminal lawsuits against union leaders
– Follow-up of labour cases and complaints
– Legal interpretation on the compensation and TU Registration
– Dismissal of TU leaders
– 99 unsolved cases
– And other challenges of the trade unions

After having a four-hour discussion, the MoLVT representative and the unions agreed to collect all the cases for discussion and resolution to find a suitable solution for each party.
