Workshop on​ Enhancing the Effectiveness of Legal Pathways for Labour Migration in ASEAN

On September 20, 2023: the CLC president Mr. Ath Thorn, and his colleagues attended the Cambodia National Tripartite Preparatory Workshop, 16th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour (AFML) on the topic; “Enhancing the Effectiveness of Legal Pathways for Labour Migration in ASEAN.”
On that occasion, Mr. Ath Thorn presented the activities of the Cambodian Labour Confederation to promote workers’ rights both inside and outside the current system in Cambodia, including the promotion of migrant workers, both in Cambodia and abroad.
He promoted the services of the Labor Resource Center; providing knowledge, news, legal assistance, training, counseling, facilitation, and other services for migrant workers seeking employment abroad and returning migrant workers and their families.
A total of 50 participants, including representatives from the CLC Cambodia, ILO, Australian and Canadian embassies, the Ministry of Labor, GADC, IOM, LSCW, TVET, Cambodian Trade Association, CAMFEBA, and NACC, attended the forum.
