On September 24, 2023: CLC Cambodia and Oxfam Cambodia, with the support of the EU in the EU-FIRST project, cooperated in a workshop on “Promoting Awareness of Social Protection for Local Union Leaders” at Angkor Paradise Hotel, Siem Reap province.

In this workshop, a total of 56 people joined the seminar including the CLC president Mr. Ath Thorn, 1st vice-president Mrs. Heng Chenda, OXFAM representative Mr. Thorn Bunly, and the Confederation of Trade Construction, agriculture, transportation, tourism, craft, and other informal sectors.

Mr. Than Bunly, the OXFAM representative, gave a welcome speech and introduced the participants to the EU-First project. Also, he presented the Social Assistance Program and Identification of Poor Households Program.

Mr. Ath Thorn opened the remark and gave a speech on the Social Protection Systems of employees.

In addition, Thorn explained the importance of the NSSF membership card and the cheerful notes of NSSF to the participants. He also noticed that the CLC Cambodia, relevant ministries, and other bodies are working on promoting the value of NSSF membership cards to Cambodian citizens working in all sectors.
