Mr. Ath Thorn, the CLC president, has joined and opened the remark in the Stakeholders Meeting on Gender-Based Violence and Harassment in the World of Work and ILO Convention 190 on September 21, 2023, at Sunway Hotel.
The purposes of this meeting are;
1. To show the importance of Convention 190 (C190) and Recommendation 206 (R 206) of the International Labour Organization.
2. To review the deficiency or to refill the legal framework related to Gender-Based Violence in Cambodia if compared to the meaning of C190 and R206.
3. To initiate the discussion about the possibility and programs that can be cooperated for the vision to eliminate violence and harassment (VH) in the world of work, including Gender-Based Violence and Harassment (GBVH).
There are around 70 participants from different bodies such as the Confederation of Trade Unions, Women Union Network, Local GBVH Focal Group, NGOs, employers’ representatives, and MLVT representatives.
